We are the Society of Physics Students chapter at Cal Poly in Pomona. Our goal is to create a community of physics students and professors that is unrivaled at any other college. We promote our department by assisting students of all studies with homework help, schedule planning, scholarships, grad school apps and career advice.
We enjoy learning, teaching and applying physics. We get together to study, play, and have a good time. We are very easy-going and encourage a strong sense of community between students, faculty and staff in the Physics & Astronomy Department. If you need help with your homework, want to play chess, hacky sack, Smash Bros or just drop objects off of the top of buildings, come on by!
The club has regular meetings after every one of the Physics and Astronomy department’s seminars, at 12:10pm in room 8-209. For seminar or physics club meeting dates, be sure to visit out our Events Page and see the seminars planned for the current quarter as well as the events the club has planned or is planning.
