Congratulations to the new members, and here’s to another great year in the Physics Club!
There has been some confusion about the Oct 31st due date. That specific due date was for National SPS membership. We are still accepting dues ($30) for the club you just won’t receive National SPS Membership. If you pay you dues now it will go to things like reimbursements for carpooling, food for the camping trip, pizza at movie nights, t-shirts etc. We still need your help to keep having all of the fun events! Please pay your dues!!!
Also no movie night 11/26.

Club members, remember that shirt designs for this year’s club t-shirt are due by Thursday Oct. 27th at the club meeting at 12:01pm. Designs must be finalized and ready to print to be eligible. Remember, the winner of the design contest will win a free club shirt($20 value!). Also, be sure to come to Thursday’s meeting even if you have not submitted an idea to vote for your favorite design! The picture up top is one of the ideas submitted a couple of years ago to show you what we are looking for in a design.

Hello physics club members! This week the physics department will be hosting Hyun Gu Kang, CPP Kinesiology and Health Promotion for a seminar on “Health of Systems: Application of Non-linear Physics in Biomechanics and Medicine” at 11am. Immediately after we will be having a physics club meeting in 8-209. Please be sure to come to this week’s club meeting because we will be voting on this year’s shirt designs! Be sure to make a design of your own and get a chance to win a free club shirt with your own design and a year’s bragging rights! Be sure to check out our updated Club Events Page and be up to date on this year’s events which are sorted by quarters and by the status of the events(finalized/pending).
Finally, be sure to pay your club fees by October 31st! This will be the final day that you will be allowed to pay club fees and receive national SPS membership. Club fees are $30/year or $15/quarter, as an SPS member you will gain use to our room, free club events to the observatory, movie nights, camping trips and last but not least club t-shirt discounts.
